Refund Policy

Overview

Verdiccio operates on a pay-per-use credit model. This policy explains how credits work, when refunds are available, and how to request one. By purchasing credits, you agree to this Refund Policy and our Terms of Service.

How Credits Work

Credits are the in-platform currency used to run idea validations. You purchase credits in advance and they are consumed each time you initiate a validation run.

  • Credits are purchased in bundles and credited to your account instantly upon successful payment.
  • Credits do not expire as long as your account remains active.
  • Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts.
  • Credits are consumed at the moment a run is initiated — not when it completes.

Credit cost per tier:

  • Validate — 1 credit per run.
  • Pro — 3 credits per run.
  • Expert — 6 credits per run (includes 72-hour human expert review).

Non-Refundable Cases

Credits are generally non-refundable once purchased. This is because each credit purchase grants you immediate access to computational resources and third-party AI services that incur real costs on our side.

The following are explicitly non-refundable:

  • Credits that have already been consumed by completed validation runs.
  • Credits consumed by runs where the idea was rejected during the pre-validation (sanity) check — computational resources were expended during this check.
  • Partially used credit bundles.
  • Credits on accounts suspended or terminated due to violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Credits purchased more than 30 days ago, unless a verified technical error occurred.

When Refunds Are Available

We will issue a credit restoration or refund in the following circumstances:

  • A validation run failed to complete due to a verified technical error on our side, and the credit was not restored automatically.
  • You were charged incorrectly due to a billing error (e.g., charged twice for the same purchase).
  • Your account was charged but credits were not delivered due to a payment processing error.
  • Expert tier: the 72-hour expert review SLA was not met — the 6 credits are automatically refunded to your account without requiring a support request.
  • You are entitled to a refund under applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

In eligible cases, we will restore the credit to your account or, at our discretion, issue a monetary refund to the original payment method.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or credit restoration, contact us at legal@verdiccio.com with the following information:

  • Your account email address.
  • The date of the purchase or the run in question.
  • A description of the issue.
  • Any relevant error messages or screenshots.

We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. If your request is approved, refunds are processed within 5–10 business days depending on your payment method and provider.

Payments Processed by Paddle

All payments on Verdiccio are processed by Paddle.com, who acts as the Merchant of Record. This means your purchase is technically made from Paddle, and your payment receipt will reference Paddle.

If you have a billing dispute or do not recognise a charge, you may also contact Paddle directly at paddle.com/support. Paddle handles chargebacks and payment disputes as the Merchant of Record.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice in the Service at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
